Christine was born in Poukeepsie, NY with an inate love for animals. She was surprised by her parents with her first puppy at the age of 4, a rescue from the local animal shelter.
At age 14 she worked at a local pet store where she sadly discovered the deplorable conditions those ill puppies faced prior to being sold. But it was at that same store where she met a man with his service dog…something very unusual to see in those days. He was well behaved and gorgeous. A very large breed she never knew existed. The man, a deaf-mute. She was impressed not only by the shear size of this gentle giant but also by how the dog understood and obeyed him with seemingly indistinquishible sounds. Fascinated Christine decided that she would someday own an English Mastiff and learn how to train a Service Dog.
It was then that Christine made it her lifelong hobby to help neighbors, friends, aquaintences, and even searched out classified ads to rehabilitate, train and re-home unwanted dogs. By 1996 she had her first English Mastiff, earned backup degrees in Business and Sociology and soon thereafter attended one of the top two accredited Dog Trainer School’s in the nation; National K9 School for Dog Trainers out of Columbus, Ohio where she graduated from the Masters Trainer Program. Christine is certified in Puppy Development, Basic Obedience On-Leash and Off-Leash, Advanced Obedience On and Off-Leash, Tracking, Scent Detection, Service Dog, Agility, Personal Protection, Soft Mouth Retrieval, Behavior Modification and Agility. She is a Professional Member of the I.A.C.P. (International Association for Canine Professionals) and specializes in board and trains to maximize the best possible results in the quickest amount of time.
